Terms

Terms of service

The rules for using www.givingradar.com, Giving Radar Daily and our tools. Last updated November 3, 2026.

Agreement

These terms are between you and Giving Radar (“we”, “us”). By using the website, subscribing to our emails or signing in to our tools, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Giving Radar.

What Giving Radar is

Giving Radar follows nonprofits’ public emails, the news around them, their videos and their podcasts, and publishes findings about how the sector asks for money: the blog, weekly reports, Giving Radar Daily and other pages on this site. Method explains how we collect and read.

The free plan is described on Prices. If we offer paid plans, their price and terms will be shown before you buy.

Emails

Giving Radar Daily is free. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email. Our privacy policy says what we keep about subscribers.

Accounts

Accounts on our tools are given by invitation. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.

Acceptable use

Please don’t:

  • break the law, or anyone’s rights, using Giving Radar;
  • try to reach parts of the service you weren’t given access to, or test, probe or disrupt its security;
  • copy our data in bulk by automated means, beyond what our feeds and pages offer, or resell it;
  • overload the service, or interfere with other people’s use of it.

Our content, and quoting it

Our writing, reports, data, analysis, design and logo belong to Giving Radar. You may quote and share short parts with a link to the source and credit to Giving Radar. Our logo may be used as Brand describes.

The emails, articles, videos and ads we quote belong to the organizations and people who made them. We quote them to report on and analyze the sector.

If you think something we published infringes your rights, write to contact@givingradar.com and we will look at it promptly.

Accuracy, and AI

Many of our labels and summaries are produced by AI models, and Method says how we check them. They can still be wrong, and our data shows what was sent and said, never what worked. Giving Radar is information, not professional, legal or financial advice: please check what matters before you rely on it.

Other websites

We link to other websites and use services run by others. We are not responsible for their content or how they work.

No warranty

Giving Radar is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

As far as the law allows, Giving Radar is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, from your use of the service. For anything else, our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.

Ending

You can stop using Giving Radar at any time. We may change or stop any part of the service, and will give notice where we reasonably can.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, we update the date at the top. If a change matters to people who use Giving Radar, we will say so on the site or by email. Using Giving Radar after a change means you accept it.
